Above and below is a poster claiming Coca-Cola Kenya is hiring in different departments in January 2021:

Introduction

With Kenya’s unemployment rate steadily rising and the impact of COVID-19, many Kenyans find themselves in a desperate situation looking out for any opportunity to earn their daily bread. This has brought about opportunities for cons and scammers who lure desperate people by posting fake jobs.

Verification

The poster asks applicants to send their applications through hr@coca-colakenya.co.ke and/or cokekenyajobs@gmail.com.

A look at Coca-Cola Kenya’s contact us page shows that the company email ends with @coca-cola.com. Most corporates normally use email addresses ending with their domain names.

The postal address provided in the poster, 30234- 00100 belongs to International Planned Parenthood Federation, Africa Region (IPPFAR) according to this tender notice on their website.

According to Elimu Centre, Coca-Cola Kenya’s postal address is 30134-00100. The company also posted on its official Facebook page on January 6 warning that the job alert advertisement was fake.

Verdict

The claims that Coca-Cola Kenya had advertised job opportunities in various departments in January 2021 through the above poster is FALSE.
