This website claims to advertise discounted Bruhm electronics and purports to be Bruhm’s official distributor in East Africa.

The website, which promises a discount of up to 42 per cent on Bruhm electronics, including cookers and freezers, has been flagged by Bruhm Global as a fake website.
On 26 July 2021, a potential customer messaged Bruhm Global on Twitter to check the availability of this cooker — BRUHM BGC-5040NW — which currently has a 41 per cent discount on ‘bruhmea.com’. Bruhm Global then alerted the customer that they were reviewing deals on a fake Bruhm website. The electronics company directed the interested customer to the company’s official website ‘bruhm.com’.
Once you click on “bruhm.com”, it leads to a website with a disclaimer on the homepage alarming users to beware of fake websites “Bruhmea.com” in Kenya and “www.bruhmofficialstore.websites.co.in” in Ghana.
“It has come to our attention that some unscrupulous persons have set up a fake website, Facebook page and Instagram account bearing the name “Bruhmea.com” in Kenya & “www.bruhmofficialstore.websites.co.in” in Ghana with the intention of deceiving unsuspecting members of the public that the same is connected to or associated with “Bruhm”, which is a brand/trade name wholly owned by SARA (HONGKONG) LIMITED, (a Mohinani Group Company),” Bruhm cautions the online community.
Bruhm further notes that it has reported the aforementioned fake websites whose administrators will face legal action.
The company also cautions the online community not to engage with those particular websites, related Facebook pages, and Instagram accounts.
Another warning is placed on the Bruhm home page stating that the company does not accept online payments, mobile money, or offer free deliveries. Bruhm also clarifies that their online reseller is www.electromat.com.
On the Bruhm official website, there are no discount offers on any of their products, unlike the fake website.
A Whois search of the bruhmea.com website shows it was registered on 2 June 2021, with the domain name ‘bruhmea.com’.
The bruhm.com website was registered on 25 April 2015, under the domain name ‘bruhm.com’.
Bruhm was founded by Ram Mohinani, who doubles as the founder of Mohinani Group of Companies. The company has offices in Hong Kong, China, London, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
