This statement circulating on social media purports to have come from the Kiunjuri-led The Service Party claims that they have severed ties with the Kenya Kwanza coalition.
Background
At a press briefing on May 24, 2022, The Service Party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri dismissed calls for a six-piece voting pattern. He termed these calls by Kenya Kwanza’s leadership as hypocritical, saying that he expects such calls from the fringe parties who want to show others that they are closer to William Ruto.
The Laikipia East MP aspirant also announced that his party had set up a 30-day campaign program to drum up support for DP William Ruto’s presidential bid. He affirmed that his party is deeply rooted in Kenya Kwanza and will work together with the affiliate parties at Kenya Kwanza to ensure victory come August 9, 2022.
Piga Firimbi has previously debunked such statements aimed at misleading the unsuspecting Kenyan electorate.
