JTL is a privately owned telecommunications company that offers broadband and mobile services.

Piga Firimbi has previously looked into similar promotions. One, for instance, published here claimed that Naivas Supermarket was giving away $3000 on its 30th anniversary. Another similar promotion checked here, claimed that the same supermarket was giving out Sh 9,000 on its 30th anniversary.

Verification

Registered on November 23, 2021 with xe5.work as its domain name, this domain is different from that officially owned by Jamii Telecommunications Limited. According to a WhoIs search, JTL’s official website was registered on October 24, 2004 with jtl.co.ke as its domain name (see screen-grab below).

This promotion does not appear on JTL’s Facebook or Twitter accounts as would a legitimate promotion from the company.
