Is This Ad for Over 4,500 Jobs at Kenya Airports Authority Legitimate?

This tweet claims to be advertising more than 4,500 jobs at the Kenya Airports Authority.

Background

The Kenya Airports Authority is a government parastatal commissioned in 1991 to manage all airports in Kenya. The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) and the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) are some of the parastatals often targeted by scammers.

 Piga Firimbi recently debunked a fake job advertisement tied to the Canadian government.

Verification

On April 8, 2023, the Kenya Airports Authority, through a tweet dismissed the advertisement as fake. The tweet further advised the public to disregard this advertisement not shared on their official social media platforms or website. They also debunked the advertisement on their official Facebook page. Also, there is no current vacancy displayed on the careers page of the KAA official website.

Verdict

The post claiming to advertise over 4,500 jobs at the Kenya Airports Authority is FAKE.
